HESPERIA -- Good morning!
April is right around the corner, and we have a few recycling events planned to kick off the month and help with your spring cleaning.
Join us for Tire Amnesty Day on April 1. We’ll be across the street from Advance Disposal, 17105 Mesa Street from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Hesperia residents can dispose of up to nine rimless passenger or light-truck tires for free.
Shred Day and E-Waste Recycling will also occur on April 1. Hesperia residents can bring their documents for secure on-site shredding, and all SB County residents may dispose of unwanted or old electronics. Both events are free and will be behind Eagle Plaza, 15776 Main Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. E-Waste will be held on a second day, April 2, during the same hours.
Honor and recognize an active-duty service member as part of our Military Banner Program! Celebrate your hero with a personalized banner to be displayed in our Civic Plaza Park. Register before the April 6 deadline on our website.
March may be coming to an end, but there’s still time to donate blood and help save a life! Join us for our blood drive with the American Red Cross on March 30 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Community Room at the Hesperia Library. To schedule an appointment, please contact the Red Cross.
We encourage our residents to download the City of Hesperia app on their mobile devices. Using the app, you can report graffiti, potholes, illegal dumping, traffic signal outages, pay your water bill, and view adoptable pets. The app is available for iOS and Android devices
Please stop by our Hesperia Animal Shelter to add a new fur baby to your family. We have many cats and dogs looking for their furever home
As always if you have any questions or suggestions regarding our community, please reach out to me at (760) 954-6221 or bbennington@cityofhesperia.us
Until next month, please stay safe!
