The Los Angeles Unified School District Board of Education voted unanimously
today to mandate COVID-19 vaccinations for all students over the age of 12. You can read that story here.
In response, Barstow Unified School District has released a statement stating that at the current moment that they are not planning to implement a
similar mandate for their students.
Barstow Unified will continue to follow the California Department of Public
Health guidelines and recommendations laid out in the District’s COVID
Prevention Plan 2021-2022 Pandemic Addendum/COVID-19 Safety Plan. You can access the plan on the District’s website, barstow.k12.ca.us
As of March 2021, more than 2/3 of Barstow Unified School District employees
have been vaccinated against coronavirus.
