Apple Valley Police were on a routine patrol Wednesday night just before 11:30pm near Arapahoe Avenue and Quinnault Road when they saw a Toyota Camry backing out of a fenced parking lot belonging to Caliber Collision. The fence was damaged, and it appeared the vehicle had driven right through it.

Police approached the Toyota, the suspect, later identified as a 15-year-old boy booked it on foot. It didn't take long before he was located, hiding under a car. Police took him into custody without any incident.

It was later learned the juvenile was a runaway from the Anoka Boys Home. He was transported back to the home where he was cited for vehicle theft and vandalism.
